Kelderby is a small village at the top of Kelder Dale, about twenty minutes from the main road. Sat navs get you to the church; we’re the stone house with the blue door just beyond it.

A quiet country lane running past green fields towards the village

By car

Leave the main road at Ashby Moor and follow the signs to Kelderby for four miles. We’re the last house on Church Lane, just past the church.

By train

Coldwell station is seven miles away, with trains from Leeds and York. Ask ahead and we’ll collect you for £12.

By bus

The 72 from Coldwell stops by the church four times a day, Monday to Saturday. It’s a two-minute walk from the stop.

Parking

Free off-road parking for eight cars in the yard. Let us know if you’re bringing a van, a trailer or bikes.

EV charger

A 7kW charger in the yard with a cable on the wall. We charge what it costs us, about £8 for a full charge.

Arriving late

Let us know and we’ll leave a key in the lockbox and the porch light on. Usual check-in is 3pm to 7pm.

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in is 3pm to 7pm and check-out is by 10.30am. You’re welcome to leave bags and the car here and go for a last walk.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel up to 14 days before you arrive and we’ll refund your deposit in full. After that we keep the deposit unless we can let the room again.

Do you take children?

Yes, of any age. The Garden Suite suits families best, and we have a travel cot and a high chair. Under-threes stay free.

Can I bring my dog?

Up to two dogs in the Orchard Room, the Stable or the Garden Suite, for £15 a stay. Dogs can join you in the lounge but not at breakfast.

How do I pay?

One night’s deposit by card when you book, then the rest by card or bank transfer when you leave.

Is the house accessible?

The Orchard Room and the Stable are on the ground floor, step-free from the car park, with walk-in showers. The other rooms are upstairs.

Is there wifi?

Fast wifi in every room and the lounge. Mobile signal comes and goes in the dale, so wifi calling is your friend.

Anything else we should know?

The house is no smoking inside, and we ask for quiet after 10.30pm. There’s a bench in the garden if you need it.
